I have been to Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari , 3 times . Recent visit was in April 2011.

This time only i went to Gangotri exhibition,showing all the life of Eknath Ranade( The force behind vivekananda kendra).. I am yet to digest how this man could dream and realise such agreat monument for Swami vIVEKANANDA IN THE SEA ON A ROCK, FACINFG ALL POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMS...Pranams to you Eknathji... You will be my motivation always... What aman... Man with iron will.....

The website is simply superb, with just the right information.
Just one question, came to my mind - that like Swami Vivekananda received the Divine vision or Brahmgyan from his Master Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa, but how do the deciples get that 'Brahmgyan' today?
The gist of all the scriptures including Vedas, is that the highest achievement of human life is 'Salvation' from the cycle of rebirth, and Brahmgyan is the only way to achieve that.

Swami Vivekananda's thoughs need to be practised by the instute that organises the various shibirs for common man, if only they knew what is spiritualism!

I was glad to find this awesome website for my fortune and goodness. Thanks to Swami Vivekananda kendra's wonderful venture. Though I did not go through all the articles in this very website at the moment, I am sure that this is indeed good. I would like to take a huge dive in this excellent website and its treasures for moulding my own life in the good direction and subsequently influence others also in better manner than before.

I am from North East and is interested with the activities of Vivekananda kendra.Specially, Khatkhati production centre.I had my association with the kendra through Mr Ravinder joshi Secretary VK NRL Hospital, Numaligarh.
I am inspired by the activities of the kendra in developing local girls from various communities in becoming self reliant, confident individual as envisioned by vivekananda the modern day sage of India.
Of late the kendra is showing signs of decline with the transfer of earlier kendra in charge.It is our sincere request to the top management of Khatkhati kendra at Kanyakumari to rejuvenate this kendra which can become a model to rest of the centre.We had helped earlier we are there to extend help. I have a plan if you wish we can discuss it in future.
